Basement Project Space presents Socio-Fi Opens 4th July 2011 at 6pm Continues 5th – 7th July 12 – 5pm daily A diverse exhibition including what might be described as Low-Fi Sci-Fi interventions, or social science fictional adventures into popular culture. A traveling morphing show, that takes inspiration from the Baudrillardian simulacral states at play in society. The first leg begins at Basement Project Space as part of the AVANT festival in Cork city and continues to other spaces and places… artists include but not limited to: Joan Healy, Stephanie Hough, Adam Gibney, Jonathan Mayhew and Semaus A. Bradley.

Scissors Cuts Paper | The Yellow Issue No1/2010
scissors cuts paper are proud to introduce the first issue of their quarterly zine. The publication is available in an edition of 100 and is hand folded, sewn and numbered by the artists. The Yellow Issue exhibition runs from 23rd March in Space Invaders, 8 Nth Main Street, Cork, culminating with a launch event on 1st April from 7-9:30pm.

Anne Hendrick (Wexford), Maire O’Mahony (Cork), Lucy Sheridan (Dublin) and Fiona Chambers (Belfast) began working collaboratively in 2004. Each artist has a very distinctive and individual practice employing a variety of different media. This zine provides an exploration into how their individual works function when placed side by side in a new format.
